reconciling things

“Allow it all to happen: beauty and terror…” Rilke

On April 26, 2014 I had a long phone conversation with a Catholic friend. I told her that there were still questions I had regarding Catholic doctrine, but that I felt they were lesser questions than my hunger for the Eucharist.

That night I had a dream.  I was going to Adoration.  When I got to the church, I saw the monstrance with the Host hanging from a long string from the ceiling!  It hung almost all the way to the floor, but didn’t touch the floor.  I started wondering if I was to sit, kneel, stand.  How was I to approach this new way of seeing the Eucharist.  And I asked the Lord, “What does this mean?”  And He said, “It’s a plumb line.”  “A plumb line?” I said.  And I felt the revelation that the Presence was the means by which to evaluate all the other doctrinal questions.  When I started to wake up I remembered a quote by DL Moody that said, “The best way to show that a stick is crooked is not argue about it or to spend time denouncing it, but to lay a straight stick alongside it.”  The Eucharist the the straight stick.

So, I looked up plumb line in the Bible.

Zech. 4

Now the angel who talked with me came back and wakened me, as a man who is wakened out of his sleep. And he said to me, “What do you see?”

So I said, “I am looking, and there is a lampstand of solid gold with a bowl on top of it, and on the stand seven lamps with seven pipes to the seven lamps. Two olive trees are by it, one at the right of the bowl and the other at its left.” So I answered and spoke to the angel who talked with me, saying, “What are these, my lord?”
Then the angel who talked with me answered and said to me, “Do you not know what these are?” And I said, “No, my lord.”
So he answered and said to me: “This is the word of the LORD to Zerubbabel:Not by might nor by power, but by My Spirit,’Says the LORD of hosts. Who are you, O great mountain? Before Zerubbabel you shall become a plain!
And he shall bring forth the capstone With shouts of “Grace, grace to it!” ’ ”
Moreover the word of the LORD came to me, saying: “The hands of Zerubbabel Have laid the foundation of this temple; His hands shall also finish it.Then you will know That the LORD of hosts has sent Me to you. For who has despised the day of small things? For these seven rejoice to see The plumb line in the hand of Zerubbabel. They are the eyes of the LORD, Which scan to and fro throughout the whole earth.”

What do you think?  Could it be possible that the gold lampstand with the bowl and the fire is the Eucharist?

Two days later I was looking at pictures from the canonization John XXIII and John Paul II and saw this picture:

Lamp stand and olive trees

Is that a lampstand with seven lamps, one gold bowl and two olive trees?????
